My friend Mark has been keen to try kite surfing for several years. He has wanted to learn all that time.However, being deaf it all seemed too hard, and often the initial classes are in groups of two or more, which would not work.We were holidaying together on the west coast when we became aware of Shark Bay Kitesurfing and decided to approach them to see what they thought.Well Damien (Damo) is certainly one up for a challenge. He had to modify certain aspects of his usual training (helmets with speakers were just not going to work) but it was full steam ahead. The guy is just a total legend.Mark has had three days of one-to-one training. He is confident in controlling the kite and in safety (body-dragging etc) so now on to the next step. Damo gave some referrals for that to happen, as we continue our journey south.To describe Damo as a fun, professional, experienced, confidence-building life-changer begins to paint the picture.If you are half-interested in kite-surfing, it seems to me, there is no better place to start and no better person to start with!Have Fun!John

It's a really relaxing place to visit and the crew in the island are really nice.

Great fishing. Location is relatively easy to get to with your own boat launching from Onslow. Offers a number of shoals / reefs to fish and troll off with good results. Accommodation is functional and clean but basic. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great to go there on a fishing trip but not sure that I would choose it as a holiday destination if did not have your own boat unless you choose to use their rental boats which looked to be relatively new and good condition. Would recommend for a fishing holiday

An excellent experience for the team. Angus looked after our Physio clinic's team of 8. He pre-prepared and really understood where we have been and where we are heading as a company. His professionalism and commitment on the day kept everyone on track. The layout was also very effective, providing some good theoretical knowledge as well as activities which the team can refer back to in the months ahead.Highly recommend!

Had an amazing Kite trip in Denham thanks to Damo! I have kited all over the world from Tarifa to the best spots in Brazil. Without a doubt Damo and the places he will take are better than anything I have ever seen before! I cannot recommend him highly enough, and he’s a top bloke. Thanks Damo and see you again soon!!

This is it - best year of my life! I bought an iSUP over 18mths ago and had a sporadically been paddling for a few months, then I joined the school & social SUP facebook groups and I haven't looked back, only forward (not down). I've been to the Freo, Lake Leschenaultia & Rotto adventure trips as well as a couple of 6am social paddles plus currently in the middle of 2nd round of SUP Fitness sessions at Bicton Baths. Nicki is amazing, a born leader and friend to all - she is my soul sister - her energy and enthusiasm are contagious and I especially love that she has launched the social SUP community. I've gained new friends, improved my skills and above all else had lots of fun. I encourage you to join a lesson, the next adventure or social outing - you won't regret it!!

We went to the HGA, Highland games that were held in the grounds at Valley Social.Absolutely beautiful facility, the professional entertainment were extensive and events many, the food was brilliant, especially the pork knuckle, the servings were generous, pricing was typical event style. Not ideal for a Scotsman but still reasonable. (Mid week specials are value) Service was fast, queues were short, despite the number of people.We often frequent the restaurant here which, was closed today for the event, I guess they had their hands full, there was an absolute massive number of people, no one went hungry or thirsty. The guy at the bar before me wanted a specific drink they didn’t have, they sent a staff member to fetch it for him. We were able to have or favourite gin cocktails and hemp beersMy previous review..we went today. During the Sunday markets, the place was packed, like full, we found plenty of parking at the rear of the venue, despite the front car park including the verge all being full! Almost every table was occupied, there must’ve been 1000 people, what a buzz, the atmosphere was awesome. There was a lot of staff, we ordered lunch, and it came remarkably quickly considering and 10 minutes faster than estimated although a little slower than usual, but we had drinks. We were all good! We could not believe that this is what was once Elmars! The food was absolutely spot on, and the cocktails and beers were perfect as usual. Obviously when a place is this busy we would expect a drop in quality of service and product but they really had it going on!We are coming back on Wednesday night, it seems that we are here at least once a week now days.

This was the Produce in the Park markets. There were many sellers missing, but the few that were there were offering some nice products & produce.
